What is Glamour?
We live in a world surrounded by glamour all over. With the change in time, the definition of glamour has changed but the effect it has on the general masses is still the same. In the medieval times, glamour was used to cast a spell, where the victim would be able to perceive only what the spell-caster wanted to, whether real or not. The usage changed to eulogize beautiful objects or persons in the late half of the 19th century. Today, the word represents a luxurious yet elegant impression, which is obviously elevated from the reality.
Glamour is known to stir various kinds of desires within an individual. It is a kind of grey area highlighting the things that require attention but not exposing them completely. This kind of approach actually elevates the interests, keeping the demand of glamorized objects forever. Glamour should not be confused to a style. While style has its adherence to a particular genre of fashion and intrinsic beauty, glamour has been always deliberate as well as external.
The most common place that is known to ooze glamour out of its every pore is film industry both international and local. The glitz and glamour that this industry emits can be compared to none. Not only the stars and starlets are known for exhibiting glamour, celebrities like socialites, members of royal families all over the world; runway models have equal contribution to the glamour world. Glamour can also be exhibited in objects like cars, jewelry, architecture and the list continues.
